I have had the privilege of working in Early Childhood Education for 16 years, and throughout my career, I have continued to grow my passion for supporting young children and their families.I began my career as a preschool teacher in the public sector before discovering Montessori education. I had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Regional Float with Bezos Academy, where I learned from and worked alongside many wonderful Montessori educators. This experience strengthened my skills and gave me the opportunity to work with children from diverse backgrounds, including children experiencing homelessness and children in foster care.

I earned my MACTE-accredited Montessori certification for Primary ages 3–6. In August 2024, I began working at MIM as a Toddler Lead, and I quickly fell in love with this stage of development. Toddlers are capable of so much more than we sometimes realize. They are curious, independent, eager to learn, and full of wonder. Supporting them as they discover their abilities has been incredibly rewarding.

I am currently working toward my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am on track to graduate in June 2027. Continuing my education is important to me because I believe there is always more to learn, and every child deserves an educator who is committed to growing alongside them.

Outside of the classroom, I am a proud mother of three amazing children: Tye, 22, who attends Seattle University for law school; Ruby, 19, who attends TCC and is pursuing nursing; and Phoebe, 14, who attends SOTA.

My journey in ECE has been shaped by the children, families, and educators I have had the privilege of learning from. I am grateful for every experience that has brought me to where I am today, and I look forward to continuing to nurture, guide, and celebrate the incredible capabilities of young children.
